About this painting
A watercolor painted back in my high-school years: two snake totems mirrored across the page, the left coiled in cold blues, the right in warm reds, both wrapped in flowers, hearts and ornamental scales over a black ground. Looking back, this is one of the earliest pieces where the symmetric, totemic pattern language of my later work already shows. The image has been lightly sharpened for the web.
