3D Animation & Motion Archive
A dedicated archive showing my 3D animation foundation in Maya and Blender, and how it informs product motion, micro-interactions, depth, visual storytelling, and interaction polish.

Why this project existed
Before becoming a product designer, I came from a 3D animation background and worked with tools such as Maya and Blender. That training still influences how I design today — from motion timing and visual storytelling to depth, hierarchy, micro-interactions, and the way product interfaces move. For me, motion is not decoration. It is a way to guide attention, explain state changes, and make digital products feel more intuitive.
What I owned
- 3D animation (Maya, Blender)
- Motion design and camera work
- Translating 3D thinking into product motion
What made it hard
- Bridging a 3D animation background with flat-screen product UI
- Keeping motion purposeful instead of decorative
- Translating camera and timing instincts into micro-interaction timing
How it came together
- 1Built a foundation in Maya and Blender — modeling, camera, animation timing
- 2Carried spatial composition and depth thinking into UI layout
- 3Applied motion timing instincts to product micro-interactions
- 4Used motion to guide attention and explain state changes, not just decorate
The thinking behind it
Treated motion as a communication tool, not a decoration — used to guide attention, explain state changes, and make interfaces feel more intuitive.
Selected views
Abstract representations — original mockups, not client screenshots.
What changed
- A distinct sense of timing, depth, and visual storytelling carried into product UI
- Micro-interactions and motion direction informed by a real 3D animation background
What I took away
My 3D background isn't a side note — it's the reason I notice timing, depth, and hierarchy in every interface I design.
