Why this project existed
A reseller back office product where operators manage inventory across multiple product sources, maintain prepaid fund balances, and place orders on behalf of their downstream network. The product needed to handle complex multi-party inventory visibility, prepaid top-up and deduction flows, and ordering logic simultaneously.
What I owned
- Reseller BO UX
- Multi-inventory Flow Design
- Prepaid Fund Flow
- Order Flow Design
- App + Web Consistency
- Operational UX
What made it hard
- Multi-party inventory meant operators needed visibility across multiple sources with different availability and pricing
- Prepaid fund balance is business-critical — any confusion in deduction logic or balance display causes real financial risk
- Order flows needed to confirm stock availability before fund deduction to prevent failed orders
- App and web versions needed to serve the same operational tasks with different interaction affordances
How it came together
- 1Mapped inventory sources, prepaid fund logic, and order flow requirements
- 2Designed inventory visibility and availability states per product source
- 3Designed prepaid fund top-up, deduction, and balance flows
- 4Designed order creation, confirmation, and status flows
- 5Reviewed edge cases: insufficient balance, out-of-stock, partial availability
- 6Iterated with operations stakeholders on real workflow patterns
The thinking behind it
Made prepaid fund balance visible at every order step — not just on a dedicated balance page — so operators always knew their purchasing power before committing to an order.

What changed
- Clearer multi-inventory visibility reduced ordering errors
- Prepaid balance visibility throughout the order flow improved operator confidence
- A more structured BO experience for high-volume operational use
What I took away
In B2B BO products, the cost of UI ambiguity is real — a misunderstood balance display or an unclear stock state has direct business consequences.
